Virtual Migrants are committed to protecting your privacy.  All information we retain is collected and held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018, which comes into effect from 25 May 2018.

Commitment to Data Security

To prevent unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your data we use fully GDPR compliant processes to make sure the information we hold online or offline is kept secure.

Ways we Collect Data

We will only collect data from you when you request to join our email list either online, or by a request in person, or when you book a ticket through our online ticketing system. The ticketing system and email software are delivered through third-party platforms which have measures in place to keep your data secure and comply with the new GDPR regulation.

Email newsletter and event booking

Your email address is the only compulsory information that you need to supply to join our emailing list or to book an event. Additional information is optional and is only your name and geographical region and can be amended or removed at any time. No other information is held.

Opting Out

There are clear instructions on how to unsubscribe or update your preferences in every email we send. You can also contact us via our contact page at www.virtualmigrants.net/contact to be removed from the mailing list.

Data Collected Automatically

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how our visitors use and navigate this website. We use this information to monitor, analyse and improve the website.

As part of a visit to one of our events or exhibitions you may be asked to fill in a survey about your experience, we may occasionally send you an online survey. The results help us learn more about our audiences and are shared with our core funders.
